Platense forced 19 Regatas turnovers. Uruguayan-Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) supported him with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Owens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by the former international forward Facundo Pinero (202-1988) did not help to save the game for Regatas. Guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) added 14 points and 6 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games.
