Very expected game when 9th ranked Taurinos (5-12) were smashed by fourth ranked Brillantes (12-6) in La Asuncion 86-59 on Wednesday. Brillantes outrebounded Taurinos 50-32 including a 42-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brillantes made 9 blocks. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) notched 18 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field).
