Rather expected game in Maturin where 9th ranked Cangrejeros (3-12) were defeated by sixth ranked Spartans (8-7) 86-71 on Saturday. Spartans dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cangrejeros' 38. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Spartans made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Davis II (203-1992, college: UC Irvine) who scored 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
