Rather expected game in Mayaguez where 6th ranked Osos (5-14) were defeated by fourth ranked Indios (8-10) 99-87 on Thursday. Indios made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Chaundee Brown Jr (196-1998, college: Michigan) scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Aaron Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Osos' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Indios maintains fourth position with 8-10 record. Loser Osos keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Indios will meet at home higher ranked Capitanes (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Osos will play against the league's leader Vaqueros and hope to secure a win.
