Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Asuncion: Colonias G. (#5) and Campo Alto (#7). Colonias G. (5-3) smashed visiting Campo Alto (1-7) by 36 points 78-42. Colonias G. dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Alto's 14. Colonias G. forced 19 Campo Alto turnovers and outrebounded them 41-23 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Juan Poison who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Stefano Pierotti (185-1998) supported him with 12 points and 8 assists. Four Colonias G. players scored in double figures. Coach Juan Bidarra's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by forward Martin Mainero (189-1990) did not help to save the game for Campo Alto. The former international forward Nelson Peralta (198-1988) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Colonias G. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Felix Perez. Campo Alto lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Colonias G.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Libertad A..
