Very predictable result in Monterrey where Fuerza Regia outscored Freseras 85-53 on Saturday. Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Sparkle Taylor (178-1995, college: UTEP) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Marte Grays (188-1996, college: DePaul) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side forward Dejza James (185-1995, college: Arizona) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and guard Qadashah Hoppie (170-1999, college: Texas A&M) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Four Freseras players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fuerza Regia will meet Halcones in the next round. Freseras will play against Panteras and hope to win that game.
