An exciting game was played in Guanajuato. Leader Mieleras faced second-best Racers. Host Mieleras (6-0) smashed guests from Saltillo (3-3) 84-64. Mieleras outrebounded Racers 49-36 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Racers' players. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Ijeoma Uchendu (185-1992, college: Butler) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Alexis Johnson (183, college: Virginia Union) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Jani Crawford (173, college: Bethel, TN) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mieleras have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record, which they share with Teporacas. Racers at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.
