We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Manati where 5th ranked Cariduros (9-13) were rolled over by sixth ranked Osos (6-15) 110-86 on Monday. Osos shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Isaac Sosa (191-1990, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) who recorded 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Dimencio Vaughn (196-1997, college: Rider) added 25 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Five Osos and four Cariduros players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Osos maintains sixth position with 6-15 record. Loser Cariduros keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Osos will meet league's second-placed Gigantes in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cariduros will play against Mets in Guaynabo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
