Regular Season Round 6: Cimarrones - Sabios 62-47

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cimarrones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cimarrones defeated bottom-ranked Sabios in Quibdo-Choco 62-47. Cimarrones forced 22 Sabios turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Nick Evans (210-1988, college: S.Indiana) who led his team to a victory with 6 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Alejandro Minota (189-1998) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Argentinian forward Augusto Bruera (196-1998, agency: BIG) replied with 14 points and Cristian Londono (198) added 0 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sabios. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cimarrones have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Bucaros. Sabios at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Motilones and Corsarios. Sabios will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Cimarrones will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Sabios in Manizales.
