The game between closely ranked teams ended with 3rd placed Broncos' (16-7) home loss to second ranked Trotamundos (17-5) 89-101 on Wednesday. Trotamundos looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Naturalized American Donta Smith (201-1983, college: SE Illinois JC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Mario Little (198-1987, college: Kansas) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. The former international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American Erik McCree (202-1993, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Five Trotamundos and four Broncos players scored in double figures. Broncos' coach Nestor Garcia rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Trotamundos have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 17-5 record behind leader Gladiadores.
