There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (14-20) lost on the road to bottom-ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (11-23) 102-98 on Friday. American guard Jimmy Whitt (190-1997, college: Arkansas, agency: Interperformances) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 assists for the winning side and international center Alejandro Reyna (206-1997, agency: ROCKIN SPORTS) accounted for 17 points and 17 rebounds. Swiss point guard Jordan Stevens (182-1994, college: Midwestern St.) came up with 20 points and 5 assists and American guard Kennedy Jones (188-1989, college: Arlington Baptist) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Pioneros Los Mochis in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains eighth place with 11-23 record.
