The game in Xalapa was also quite interesting. Fuerza Regia played at the court of Halcones. Fuerza Regia managed to secure a 9-point victory 77-68 on Friday. Fuerza Regia forced 19 Halcones turnovers. Strangely Halcones outrebounded Fuerza Regia 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Delicia Washington (178-1997, college: Clemson) scored 18 points, 6 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Alexis Jones (175-1994, college: Baylor) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian center Quinn Urbaniak-Dornstauder (193-1995, college: Arizona St.) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Halcones will play against Panteras in Aguascalientes and hope to win that game.
