Very predictable result when first ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (28-6) won against on the road 7th ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (12-22) 89-80 on Saturday. Rayos de Hermosillo shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. Guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) nailed 27 points and 6 assists for the winning side and forward Aaron Wheeler (206-1998, college: St.John's) accounted for 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Guard Antwon Lillard (198-1995, college: BGSU) came up with 22 points and 6 assists and point guard Roddy Peters (193-1995, college: Nicholls St.) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Ostioneros de Guaymas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-6 record.
