Rather expected game in Guaynabo where 6th ranked Osos (7-17) were crushed by fourth ranked Mets (12-10) 121-84 on Monday. Mets dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Osos' 42. They outrebounded Osos 39-24 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mets looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. American power forward DeMarcus Cousins (211-1990, college: Kentucky) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Isaac Sosa (191-1990, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and the former international Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) added 15 points respectively. Five Mets and four Osos players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Santurce. Loser Osos keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Mets will meet Grises (#6) in the next round. Osos will play against Indios and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
