Strangely Santa Tecla outrebounded Quezaltepeque 44-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. The other American import forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Quezaltepeque players scored in double figures. Center Carlos Arias (200-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-1997, college: Biola, CA) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests.
