The most exciting game of round 3 in the LNBPF took place in Chihuahua. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of Adelitas (4-2) to Astros (3-3) 69-68 on Thursday evening. Astros dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Adelitas' 24. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Astros made 7 blocks. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) who saved her team from a defeat with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Adelitas. Astros are looking forward to face Abejas (#8) in Leon in the next round. Adelitas will play against Freseras (#11) and are hoping to win this game.
