Very important is a home loss of Adelitas (4-2) against Astros (3-3) on Friday night. Host Adelitas were defeated by Astros in a tough game in Chihuahua 81-87. American players dominated also this game. It was a great evening for guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 4 assists. Forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-1996, college: Temple) with 20 points and 6 assists and center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Astros will play against Abejas (#8) in Leon in the next round. Adelitas will play against Freseras (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
