The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Rojas' (5-1) home victory over 6th ranked Fuerza Regia (4-4) 66-49 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Fuerza Regia 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Rojas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) fired 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Abdi Xicotencatl (192-1998) chipped in 14 points. Brazilian forward Damiris Dantas (191-1992) produced 9 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Destiny Pitts (178, college: Texas A&M) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rojas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Fuerza Regia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with four games lost.
