Regular Season Round 13: Olimpia K. - San Jose 77-79

The most exciting game of round 13 in the LNB took place in Asuncion. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Olimpia K. (10-3) to leader San Jose (13-0) 79-77 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Olimpia K.. San Jose dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia K.'s 26. 25 personal fouls committed by Olimpia K. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Fernando Dose (200-1994) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 assists for the winners and Argentinian swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-1995) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side the former international forward Gabriel Peralta (203-1995) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Olimpia K. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. San Jose have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Olimpia K. at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost.
