Very predictable result when second ranked Adelitas (6-2) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Freseras (0-8) 87-67 on Thursday. Adelitas made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Freseras turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including 36 on the defensive glass. Adelitas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Adelitas' coach Maikel Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Qadashah Hoppie (170-1999, college: Texas A&M) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Adelitas maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Panteras, which they share with Libertadores. Loser Freseras still closes the standings with eight games lost.
