Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Juventud (0-7) was smashed by sixth ranked Yale (3-4) in Montevideo 80-56 on Saturday. Yale forced 34 Juventud turnovers. Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) notched 19 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Florencia Carretero (-2004) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by forward Karina Acosta (-1986) did not help to save the game for Juventud. Forward Ivana Presa (-1986) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yale maintains sixth position with 3-4 record. Loser Juventud still closes the standings with seven games lost. Yale's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Lagomar.
