Regular Season Round 8: Puente Alto - CDSC 59-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-ranked Puente Alto's (5-2) home loss to top-ranked CDSC (7-0) in Santiago 59-75 on Saturday. CDSC forced 28 Puente Alto turnovers. The winners were led by the former international point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals and point guard Javiera Campos (-2002) supported her with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Five CDSC players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by Argentinian power forward Camila Peri (182-2000) did not help to save the game for Puente Alto. Forward Cameron Diaz (-2002) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. CDSC have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Loser Puente Alto dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Infinito. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
