No shocking result in a game when third ranked Libertadores (8-2) beat 7th ranked Plateras (2-6) in Queretaro 80-76 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Libertadores made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-1995, college: Temple) nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Australian guard Madeleine Garrick (180-1992) accounted for 17 points. Four Libertadores players scored in double figures. American guard Khadija Brown-Haywood (180-1994, college: Arkansas St.) came up with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Vionise Pierre-Louis (193-1995, college: Oklahoma) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Plateras in the defeat. Plateras' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Libertadores. They moved-up to second place. Plateras lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Abejas. Libertadores will meet Rojas (#5) in the next round. Plateras will play against Adelitas and hope to secure a win.
