Regular Season Round 11: Sabios - Cimarrones 89-106

Rather expected game in Manizales where 5th ranked Sabios (1-9) were defeated by third ranked Cimarrones (6-7) 106-89 on Wednesday. Cimarrones forced 21 Sabios turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Sabios' players. It was a great evening for American forward Mike Poole (196-1992, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Bruce Massey (190-1990, college: MTSU, agency: BIG) helped adding 19 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Four Cimarrones players scored in double figures. American guard Mitchell Kirsch (193-1998, college: Babson) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Jordan Glover (198-1996, college: TCNJ) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cimarrones maintains third place with 6-7 record having just one point less than leader Cafeteros. Sabios lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Motilones.
