Regular Season Round 7: Caqueta - Huila 43-41

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Caqueta (5-5) edged at home their close opponent Huila (5-5) 43-41 on Thursday. Caqueta held Huila to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 24.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Caqueta forced 19 Huila turnovers. Yerly Palacios (-2005) fired 14 points for the winners. Center Angely Mendez (175-2000) chipped in 2 points and 14 rebounds. Sofia Cuesta (-2000) produced 9 points and 10 rebounds and Heylin Quiroz (-1990) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caqueta moved-up to second place, which they share with Huila and Cundinamarca. Caqueta will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Huila will play against Soacha and hope to secure a win.
