Regular Season Round 10: Brisas - Puente Alto 56-63

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago: Puente Alto (#3) and Brisas (#4). Brisas were defeated at home 56-63 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Puente Alto outrebounded Brisas 41-22 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian power forward Camila Peri (182-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international forward Marisol Gamboa (178-1985) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center Valentina Olmedo (190-2003) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Paola Orellana (-1995) added 12 points in the effort for Brisas. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Puente Alto maintains third position with 6-3 record having just four point less than leader CDSC. Brisas at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Univ.de Chile. Puente Alto's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Luis ML.
