Valdivia made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Valdivia outrebounded Los Leones 48-32 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American center Roquez Johnson (201-1992, college: MSU, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Argentinian Juan Manuel Rivero (191-1985) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) answered with 17 points and 6 assists and American power forward Markus Kennedy (206-1991, college: SMU) added 15 points in the effort for Los Leones. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
