An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San German. Second ranked Atleticos faced 3rd ranked Gigantes. Host Atleticos (20-12) defeated guests from Carolina (16-16) 104-98. Atleticos made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) chipped in 30 points during the contest. American Mike Scott (203-1988, college: Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists and international point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU, agency: Shark Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists. Four Atleticos and five Gigantes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atleticos maintains second position with 20-12 record having just three points less than leader Quebradillas. Loser Gigantes dropped to the fourth place with 16 games lost. Atleticos will meet league's second-placed Mets in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gigantes will play against Indios and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
