Very important is a home loss of third ranked Hebraica (7-3) against fifth ranked Aguada (7-2) on Thursday night. Host Hebraica was defeated by Aguada in Montevideo 59-47. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hebraica. They outrebounded Hebraica 54-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Sofia Herrera (179-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 20 rebounds and guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Forward Martina Marino (170-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-2000) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Aguada moved-up to third place. Loser Hebraica dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 25 de Agosto. Aguada will meet at home 25 de Agosto (#5) in the next round. Hebraica will play against Juventud in Las Piedras and hope to secure a win.
