Regular Season Round 7: Astros - Fuerza Regia 75-72

The most exciting game of round 7 in the LNBPF took place in Jalisco. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Fuerza Regia (6-6) to fourth ranked Astros (9-3) 75-72 on Saturday evening. American swingman Alexis Prince (188-1994, college: Baylor) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Brazilian forward Damiris Dantas (191-1992) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Destiny Pitts (178, college: Texas A&M) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Astros have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Adelitas. Fuerza Regia at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Astros is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Freseras (#11) in Irapuato in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fuerza Regia will play on the road against the league's leader Libertadores (#1) in Queretaro and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
