Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Astros (11-3) defeated bottom-ranked Freseras (2-14) in Jalisco 77-62 on Wednesday. Astros outrebounded Freseras 55-39 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) who scored that evening 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Brisa Silva (170-1984, college: OK State, agency: ROCKIN SPORTS) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Astros players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) did not help to save the game for Freseras. American forward Dejza James (185-1995, college: Arizona) added 6 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the guests. Freseras' coach rotated twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Astros have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Adelitas.
