No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Astros (11-3) crushed bottom-ranked Freseras (2-14) in Jalisco 101-69 on Thursday. Astros had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American swingman Alexis Prince (188-1994, college: Baylor) who scored that evening 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) supported her with 21 points and 7 assists. Even 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Sierra Moore (180-1994, college: Penn St.) did not help to save the game for Freseras. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Freseras' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Astros have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Adelitas. Freseras lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Astros will meet Halcones (#6) in the next round. Freseras will have a break next round.
