The game in Monterrey was also quite interesting. Second ranked Adelitas (13-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Fuerza Regia (8-8). Adelitas managed to secure a 5-point victory 68-63 on Sunday. Adelitas made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Crystal Bradford (183-1993, college: CMU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian forward Damiris Dantas (191-1992) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Adelitas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-3 record behind leader Panteras. Fuerza Regia at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Adelitas will meet at home league's leader Panteras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will play against Abejas (#9) in Leon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
