There was no surprise in Montevideo where 11th ranked Miramar (2-4) was crushed by seventh ranked Capitol (4-2) 102-76 on Friday. Capitol dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Miramar's 30 and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Miramar 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Capitol looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Jacob Ledoux (190-1997, college: UTPB) who added 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. Edo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Capitol players scored in double figures. Ivan Loriente (190-1992, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Argentinian center Martin Delgado (202-1994) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitol have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Miramar keeps the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
