There was no surprise in Leon where 10th ranked Abejas (2-16) were outplayed by sixth ranked Fuerza Regia (10-8) 93-66 on Friday. Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (183-1990, college: UCLA, agency: LBM Management) fired 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach Juan Jose Pidal felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Gia Pack (178-1998, college: NM State) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import center Rachel Hollivay (196-1993, college: Rutgers) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Fuerza Regia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rojas. Abejas lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost.
