Regular Season Round 14: Brisas - Luis ML 51-62

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago: Luis ML (#7) and Brisas (#5). Brisas were defeated at home 51-62 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Luis ML forced 22 Brisas turnovers. Daniela Orellana (-1998) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Ignacia Cardenas (-2002) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Center Valentina Monzo (188-2003) replied with 7 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and center Valentina Olmedo (190-2003) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Brisas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Luis ML (2-8) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Conce. Brisas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Luis ML will play against Rancagua (#8) on the road in the next round. Brisas will have a break next round.
