Regular Season Round 11: Luis Matte - Sergio Ceppi 73-57

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sergio Ceppi (6-4) against fourth ranked Luis Matte (4-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Sergio Ceppi was defeated by Luis Matte in 73-57. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan Cristhian Poleo (-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Franco Garrido (181) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Luis Matte players scored in double figures. Boris Guerra (-1987) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Adrian Toro (176-1989) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Luis Matte went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Sergio Ceppi keeps the second place with four games lost. Luis Matte will meet higher ranked Arabe de Valp. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sergio Ceppi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Boston College.
