Regular Season Round 10: Tabare - Miramar 94-70
Date: July 4, 2023
No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Tabare (4-3) crushed at home 12th ranked Miramar (2-5) 94-70 on Tuesday. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Miramar's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Octavio Medina (195-1996) notched 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Martin Perdomo (178-1995) supported him with 10 points and 8 assists. Four Tabare players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by forward Ezequiel Pineiro (193-2001) did not help to save the game for Miramar. Ivan Loriente (190-1992, agency: Pro Sports) added 12 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabare have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Miramar dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with 25 de Agosto. Tabare will meet higher ranked Capitol (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Miramar will play against Colon (#7) and hope to secure a win.
