Very significant was Potters S.'s (#1) 80-72 road victory against their biggest opponent Stingerz. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Stingerz. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Potters S. forced 36 Stingerz turnovers. Strangely Stingerz outrebounded Potters S. 68-53 including 28 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Welsh point guard Jacob Lloyd (183-1994, college: Harris-Stowe St.) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and guard Ariel Quallis supported him with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Potters S.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds by forward Keroi Lee did not help to save the game for Stingerz. The former international point guard Devorn Benjamin (182-1995) added 18 points and 4 assists for lost side. Four Potters S. and five Stingerz players scored in double figures. Potters S. (11-2) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Stingerz at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost.
