Regular Season Round 13: Colo Colo - Truenos 78-69

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Colo Colo's (9-2) home victory over 3rd placed Truenos (6-5) in Santiago 78-69 on Sunday. Martin Gomez nailed 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and forward Lucas Thiebaut (-1999) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Colo Colo players scored in double figures. Forward Alessandro Morales (-1998) came up with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Nick Morales (187-1985) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Truenos in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Colo Colo. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Liceo PN. Loser Truenos keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Arabe de Valp.. Colo Colo will meet Municipal C. (#4) in the next round. Truenos will play against Tomas L. in San Fernando and hope to secure a win.
