The most exciting game of round 16 in the Metropolitan took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked U.Atletica (6-7) to third ranked Larranaga (9-4) 91-90 on Tuesday evening. Larranaga looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by U.Atletica helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Italian Nicolas Borsellino (202-1986, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward DJ Foreman (203-1994, college: St.Louis) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Larranaga's coach Nicolas Diaz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Andres Dotti (180-1993) replied with 17 points and 7 assists and center Agustin Cabillon (198-1995) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for U.Atletica. Four Larranaga and five U.Atletica players scored in double figures. Larranaga moved-up to second place, which they share with Olimpia. U.Atletica at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Stockolmo and Colon. Larranaga's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Olimpia.
