Very expected game in Montevideo where 15th ranked Lagomar (3-11) was crushed by fifth ranked Tabare (9-5) 90-71 on Friday. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Lagomar's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Octavio Medina (195-1996) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Naturalized Italian forward Xavier Couste (186-1999) chipped in 20 points. Four Tabare players scored in double figures.
