Rather predictable result in Mercedes where top-ranked Remeros (4-0) defeated bottom-ranked Juventud (0-4) 63-45 on Sunday. Remeros forced 33 Juventud turnovers. Julieta Laubert fired 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Forward Romina Giossa chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Carolina Batista produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Karina Acosta (-1986) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Remeros have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Juventud still closes the standings with four games lost. Remeros will meet at home Lagomar (#8) in the next round. Juventud will play against Urunday and hopes to get finally their first victory.
