Regular Season Round 5: Santa Tecla F1 - Teclenas 56-62

Santa Tecla F1 (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Teclenas (2-2) 62-56. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Santa Tecla F1. The best player for the winners was center Kryssia Urias (185-1994) who scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Paola Ortiz (172-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Laura Rivas (171-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Andrea Garcia (160-1998) added 9 points, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Teclenas moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Santa Tecla F1 still keeps top position with one game lost.
