Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#1) and 25 de Agosto (#5). Malvin (6-0) won against visiting 25 de Agosto (2-4) 68-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 25 de Agosto. Malvin players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) contributed with 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Malvin players scored in double figures. Sabrina Molina (179-1998) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds and Argentinian guard Rocio Bereilh (165-2001) added 15 points in the effort for 25 de Agosto. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Malvin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. 25 de Agosto at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Yale. Malvin's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Yale.
