Regular Season Round 3: Caribbean Coast - Brumas 80-69

Caribbean Coast defeated Brumas in Managua 80-69. They outrebounded Brumas 49-37 including 36 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) helped adding 20 points and 18 rebounds. Caribbean Coast's coach Noel Mackenzie used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) with 23 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Kevin Andino (186-2002) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Brumas will play next round against Rivas trying to get back on the winning streak. Caribbean Coast will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
