Liga Superior top team - Santa Tecla F1 (5-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Santa Emilia (1-3) 114-21. Santa Tecla F1 held Santa Emilia to an opponent 15.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Santa Tecla F1 forced 52 Santa Emilia turnovers and outrebounded them 53-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Santa Emilia's players. Santa Emilia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Laura Rivas (171-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-1 record.
