Regular Season Round 2: Correcaminos - Santos 91-102

Rather expected game when Correcaminos lost to Santos in Ciudad Victoria 91-102 on Sunday. American-Puerto Rican point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) notched 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Puerto Rican forward Josue Erazo (203-1995, college: PR-Rio Piedras) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even 23 points by the former international Gabriel Vazquez (206-1994) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. American guard Antonio Daye Jr. (185, college: Coastal, agency: Players Group) added 20 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Santos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Correcaminos will play against Abejas in Guanajuato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
