Bottom-ranked Juventud is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to eighth ranked Lagomar (4-1) 101-45. Lagomar dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Juventud's 30. Lagomar forced 42 Juventud turnovers and outrebounded them 52-31 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Juventud's players. Center Selena Medrik (177-1992) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Karina Acosta (-1986) with 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ivana Presa (-1986) scored 3 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lagomar maintains eighth position with 4-1 record. Juventud at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Lagomar will play against higher ranked Remeros (#7) in Mercedes in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Juventud will play at home against Urunday and hopes to get finally their first victory.
