Very important is a home loss of Olimpia against Tabare on Monday night. Host Olimpia was defeated by Tabare in a tough game in Montevideo 75-83. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 30. The best player for the winners was forward Octavio Medina (195-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. American Anthony Danridge (196-1986, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Al Thornton (203-1983, college: FSU, agency: BIG) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Tabare will meet at home Sayago in the next round.
